I Got a Squiggy (Alternate Title: Why I Haven’t Been Posting Much)
You may have noticed that my blog has been a bit inactive lately. I think it’s been over 2 weeks since my last post. While this is inexcusable, I’m back to posting again, I have to share with you that there is a very good reason for my departure – I got a Squiggy:

A 6 month old rescue pup from Big Dog Rescue up in Penngrove, CA. He’s 5.5# of Chihuahua and Terrier (though he’s quite a bit more Chihuahua both in looks and personality). As far as pets go, he’s got quite a personality – he loves to sit on laps and jumps between mine and Jeremy’s all day while we work on designing and developing websites. He’s still learning the basics: sit/stay/come/down…etc. and his housebreaking is a work in progress (though he’s been pretty damn good for a pup with no prior training….2 weeks. 3 messes. He’s claimed my cashmere shall as his nest (which is meticulously formed on the couch each day) and he’s got me and Jeremy wrapped around his finger. So our blogging and social life is a bit lacking at the moment, but now that he is getting used to the ropes, I’ll be posting frequently again. If you’re interested, there are some additional photos below of the little rat for your viewing pleasure:

(Squiggy Monster looking cool as always)

(being a little attention whore)

(being a total baby on Jeremy’s lap)

(not as innocent as you’d expect…)

These pictures, while adorable, don’t even come close to doing justice to Squiggy Monster. He is a darling and I am in love! I can’t wait to doggy sit. xoxo Aunty Monster

I might add, that in addition to laying claim to your cashmere sweater, your jacket and three of our towels, the little poo has (and this is the severe of his pickpocketry) thefted our legs, from the hip to the knee. The new concern is bumping the poo’s head on my keyboard tray.

Yep, the little Squiggy Monster loves his Auntie Monster more than anyone on first meeting. He really took to you, but then he has good taste
And Jeremy, I love that we now call him “the poo” without any hesitation. I mean, the poor little dude had a wicked case of diarrhea when we first brought him home and now he’s forever stuck with the nickname “poo dog” or “the poo” to quote you.

Oh yeah, and it was a shall/scarf my step mother gave me for xmas, not a sweater. I’m too broke-ass to have a cashmere sweater…
Luckily I don’t think my stepmom would mind since I’m pretty sure she bought her Yorkies cashmere everything. And to think I used to laugh at how “into” her dogs she was. Look out – Squigs will have a Prada sweater and a Tumi dog carrier in no time. And my Target pants are falling apart…

What a sweetheart! I came across your blog in the list of blogs supporting Blog Action Day, and when I checked it out, there was this cute “poo” looking at me. I’m sure he enjoys being a part of your family.
Cheers from Brisbane, Australia.
