The art exhibition Algorithmia at Root Division Soma Over The Counter, closed yesterday, and while it was sad to take it down, I am proud of how well we, the curators and artists, executed this unusual (to say the least) art exhibition. And in keeping with the algorithm theme, james twyman soma, Soma phenobarbatol, rather than the usual DJ or musical act accompanying the opening, there was even a laptop set up with the Algorithmia LastFM account open so the users (er...gallery visitors) could manipulate the sounds throughout the night.

And it didn't stop there. The remaining weeks of the exhibition had a steady flow of visitors to the gallery, interested in checking out this exhibition that strayed quite drastically from the usual Mission District exhibition flavour.

As we disassembled the show yesterday evening, there was a sense of mellow contentment that came over me. We pulled off a hell of a show.
